1) Company overview
a. Mission statement: POGG was created by 11 students at Berks Career and Technology Center that crave mod trends. Therefore, POGG is here to maximize the excitement of top trends of yesterday, today, and tomorrow. By offering pre-ordering, POGG makes it possible for you to have top trends on demand.
b.Benefits:
i. Government Requirement coverage:
1. Workers Compensation, wage replacement and medical benefits for employees injured in the course of employment in exchange for mandatory relinquishment of the employee's right to sue his or her employer for negligence.
ii. Company provided benefits
1. Profit sharing- will be evaluated at the end of a fiscal year.
2.401k-offered to employees mid year.
3. Annual safety and education seminars all employees are OSHA certified.
4. Health insurance is offered to executives at no charge, others may purchase.

2. Personnel Administration
a.Personnel files: All personnel files are kept up to date, and filed securely in the designated P.O.G.G filing cabinets. All Records are kept confidential.
b.Employee classification: Known as exempt employees are deemed unbound by the fair labor standards act.
3. Compensation and performances
a.Wage and salary policies: All employees get paid hourly and if absent the employee will receive a deduction from that day's pay.
b.Employee of the month: At the end of each month every employee will be observed for good ethics and due to an employee having good ethics they will gain the employee of the month award.
4.Benefits
a.Clean desk policy: Desk and work stations must be cleaned, no eating at the desk.
b.Company meeting: All meetings must be professionally and strictly to the point.
c.Holidays: All employees are exempt from attending work.
5.Miscellaneous Forms
c.Form 2.A-Verbal warning: If an employee is found in violation of P.O.G.G's policies they will be informed with a verbal warning.
D.Form 2.B-written warning: If an employee is found continuing to disregard the regulations and policies HR will proceed with a written warning.
6. Employment policies
Actions that will result in disciplinary actions:
POGG reserves the right to discipline or discharge any employee for violating any policy, practice, or rule outlined within our employee handbook.

2. We do not lend out tools.
3. All employees can post on our bulletin board as long as it is confirmed by HR
4. We don’t give out discounts due to the fact we may not purchase products off our own business.

6. Employment policies
- Business hours: Mon- Friday hours of operation: 8:00-10:30 am with weekends off.
- Confidential Information: Here at POGG we do not allow personal information exposed to anyone without permission of the individual. Competition, other employees, or the general public have no access to any information on the employee.

- Credit Investigation and Background Checks: We have the right to perform credit and background checks at any time, especially those working and dealing with the finance department, payroll, and any employee who has access to the VEI Company bank account.
- Drug Testing: All employees could be drug tested at any time and are liable to consequences of their actions. Being under the influence of drugs or alcohol is strictly prohibited and is not what our company here at POGG stands for.
- Equal Employment Opportunity: POGG abides by Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964; section II of the FMLA, and Title XXIX 1630.4 b of the Americans with Disabilities Act. Any employee discriminating on the basis of race, sex, religion, national origin, or mental/physical disabilities will have disciplinary actions which could include termination and possible legal issues.
- Harassment: Verbal, Physical, and sexual discrimination is prohibited in any way possible.
- Information Sharing: Sharing information with competitors is prohibited and will result in immediate and permanent termination.
- Probationary Period: The first few weeks of running level one employees will be required to complete OSHA 10 hour industry certification. Training and additional information will become more actively used and expressed.
- Proof of Citizenship: All employees must provide proof of U.S citizenship upon being hired.
- Security Checks: POGG prevents stealing from our company by instilling random package checks to see that our products are all correct in the Warehouse.
- Suggestions/Other: Any other topics, procedures, ideas, suggestions, advice, questions or other information can openly be discussed with the Human Resources department at POGG.
Actions that will result in disciplinary actions:
- Harassment
- Lying
- Failure to be in dress code
- Failure of completing assigned tasks for the month
- Becoming a distraction
- Any other action unethical or what POGG does not stand for*
POGG reserves the right to discipline or discharge any employee for violating any policy, practice, or rule outlined within our employee handbook.
8. Work Schedule:
- Attendance: The Vice President of Human Resources takes attendance each morning of the normal 5 day work week. If an employee has 3 absences' in a row there will be a mandatory meeting with said employee involving the circumstances of the delay in work. Meeting with our employees with the HR department should not be viewed as a negative thing, the individual needs clarification as to what tasks are still assigned and how they could then be accomplished in a more timely matter in returning to them.
- Our Normal schedule: The normal work week is Monday through Friday and is from 8-10:30 am
9. Safety Procedures:
- Drug testing: Drugs are strictly prohibited on the company's grounds. Any employee under the influence
- Security: There are cameras in the hallways and are for your protection.
- Smoking: Smoking is prohibited on company grounds.
- Theft: Any theft will result in immediate termination of employees involved.
